A physiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases dealing with muscles, bones, tendons, and more. The focus of a physiatrist is helping improve function and eliminate pain. Our physiatrist serves patients in the Thornwood, Pleasantville , and Armonk, NY area.

Here at Mt. Pleasant Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, our board-certified physiatrist will perform an initial evaluation to diagnose your condition, then create a treatment plan that may include physical therapy, chiropractic treatments, trigger point injections* and regenerative medicine.

*The need for trigger point injections is evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We use a plant-based injectable called SARAPIN®, which is derived from the pitcher plant to provide analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties and has been used safely for over 70 years.
